New at Ahoj Europa Neu: the language package for everyone who would like to bring their course with them wherever they go!

We recommend this type of course for up to three participants, if you:

  • travel extensively and want to continue your course without interruption
  • would prefer to take your course at home or in your office due to time and space restraints
  • are stationed abroad for an extended period of time and want to continue your course
  • would like to take your course in a group setting with 1-2 colleagues from abroad

This type of course has proven to be especially beneficial for companies with multiple branch locations in and outside the country.

Based on experience, a language course extending over multiple locations or countries with colleagues at the same skill level can be mutually rewarding as well as have positive effects on internal cooperation.

An online language course
at Ahoj Europa Neu is set up as follows:

Preceding each course appointment, you receive an e-mail with a link and a password. This gives you worldwide access to your virtual classroom at the assigned time from any computer with an Internet connection. On the login page, simply enter your name, e-mail address and password – you are then automatically sent into the classroom!

You are then connected via an interactive video conference with your trainer and the other students in the course and can interact as you would in a standard classroom setting.

We recommend using a webcam and headphones for an exceptional course experience.

The online classroom lets you share worksheets as well as the virtual whiteboard. These files can be edited directly in the browser window and saved on your hard drive for later use, e.g. following the course at home.

Audio and video files can also be played through the online classroom and websites (e.g. YouTube) can be shared.

This allows for listening comprehension exercises to be played in high quality formats.

Benefits are:

  • The classroom with virtual whiteboard is reserved and available for you and your trainer at the reserved time with no band limits, even at peak hours

For 1,5 years I have been taking Russian classes at Ahoj. During that time my teacher encouraged me to speak – this was especially very helpful in using Russian every day at work:

I experienced the need to understand the Czech language after making several trips to Czech cities, castles, restaurants and breweries. I thought to myself right away that it wouldn’t be a simple undertaking, but thanks to the trainers at Ahoj I was able to make considerable progress. They were able to ease me into the Czech grammar with seven cases and aspect verbs as well as coaching me to develop the needed endurance for using them in the proper place.

I would like to remark on two significant advantages that are rarely mentioned at Ahoj because they are taken for granted here: language instruction only takes place in small groups and is exclusively given by native speakers.

PS: Whoever doesn’t know what aspect verbs are can sign up for a course… ;-)

We have entrusted „Ahoj Europa Neu“ with the language training of our workers’ councils since 2011. Due to our course participants being scattered across Europe, we opted for online courses in German and English.

It is a great pleasure for me to be able to communicate in the meantime with many of my European colleagues in German which was, previous to starting the project with “Ahoj Europa Neu”, for the most part only possible with the help of an interpreter. My colleagues learning English also report making quick progress. I took three years of Czech instruction at „Ahoj Europa Neu“. A Slavic language is a real challenge to take on and can’t be learned casually on the side. Thanks to the competent, friendly trainers of this specialized language school and the first-class teaching materials, I was able to overcome every discouragement that came my way. I now read Prague’s daily newspapers in the original language, chat with the people there, and even translate the Czech language.

My conclusion: It isn’t impossible to learn difficult Eastern languages, but without “Ahoj Europa Neu”
I wouldn’t even want to consider doing it.
